Promotion: Discount Price for General Check-Up and Clean

Rose Dental is opening its doors to the public soon: in July, 2021. As soon as construction of the clinic is complete, our Five Dock dentist will be available to take on new local patients who are seeking to improve the quality of their oral health. As part of our opening, we are running a dental promotion for new patients. We are offering a comprehensive range of general check-up and clean procedures for a low, low fee of only $100. Valued at $300, this dental promotion is the best way for Five Dock residents to ensure that their oral health is in good condition and to identify any risks or concerns that may require further treatment.

Comprehensive Oral Examination

During a general check-up at the dentist, an oral examination is performed to check for cavities, tooth decay and gum disease. This involves visual inspection and sometimes the use of dental imaging techniques like photographs and X-Rays.

Digital Intraoral X-Rays

During your first, discounted, check-up at Rose Dental, we will take a series of X-Ray photographs within and around the mouth. Static dental X-Rays are used to check for tooth rot and misalignment of teeth, soft tissues and jaws.

OPG X-Ray

Panoramic imaging (OPG X-Rays) may also be used in addition to digital intraoral X-Rays to check for tooth rot and misalignment of teeth, soft tissues and jaws. OPG X-Rays are taken by rotating an X-Ray camera around the outside of the mouth.

Intraoral Photographs

If the X-Rays identify a problem with your oral health, intraoral photographs will be taken to create a more comprehensive image of the issue. Images can be used to diagnose your condition and may be referred to an orthodontist if further treatment is needed to restore your oral health.

Oral Cancer Check

An oral cancer check involves both physical, assisted and surgical examination of the mouth and throat to check for the presence of malignant growth. Lip and oral cavity cancers are often detected during a physical examination. If a patient displays any symptoms of oral cancer during a physical exam, an endoscopy and biopsy will be performed to validate the dentist’s findings.

Periodontal Assessment

The final element of your comprehensive oral examination is a periodontal assessment. Your dentist in Five Dock will evaluate your teeth, your plaque, your gums, your bite, your bone structure and other risk factors which may impact your oral health. Signs of tooth decay and gum disease will call for further treatment and may require the affixation of dental implants depending on the outcome of the assessment.

Professional Scaling and Cleaning

During your discounted general check-up (and each consequent general check-up) at Rose Dental, a scale and clean will be performed to remove plaque and calculus from the hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. A steel pick will be used to remove any hard detritus which has formed behind and on top of teeth and a fluoride rinse will be performed afterwards to wash away any residual detritus, germs and bacteria.

Fluoride Application

After your dental scaling has been complete, the friendly dentist will apply a fluoride treatment to the front of your teeth to keep them bright and shiny. Fluoride has anti-bacterial properties which help to protect the teeth from sugar and other corrosive substances contained within food and drink. Finally, a fluoride rinse will be performed to wash away any residual detritus, germs and bacteria.

Oral Hygiene Instructions

After your scale and clean treatment has been completed, your dentist will provide instructions to you regarding proper oral healthcare techniques. He will give you instruction regarding proper brushing technique and how to floss, which foods to stay away from and what the future holds for your teeth.

Discussion of Treatment Options

If your dentist identifies any source of concern during your inspection and scale and clean treatment he will make recommendations for further dental work. This may include fillings, root canals, implants or orthodontics. Depending on the nature and severity of your oral health, additional treatments may be performed on the same day as your discounted general check-up. Otherwise, you will need to schedule a follow-up appointment with Rose Dental as soon as possible.
