Tomatoes and other citrus fruits are high in acidity which can erode the tooth enamel. However, these natural sugars do have other nutritional benefits so we do advise that when consuming them in moderation, we should rinse with water afterwards. This way we can minimize their impact on our dental health whilst still receiving those added benefits!

Dairy products such as milk, yoghurt, and cheese contain rich sources of calcium which helps to remineralize the enamel and strengthen your teeth! Calcium is essential for maintaining strong teeth and bones.

The key to good oral health is water! Water is not only essential for overall health, but it plays an important role in oral hygiene. Drinking water throughout the day helps rinse away food debris, and bacteria, which helps reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease! It is also a bonus if it is fluoridated water which strengthens tooth enamel and provides protection against decay!

This will mean that the pH of your saliva will remain high in only one sitting throughout the day whilst maintaining a normal pH environment during the rest.
